2017 - 2018 Student Life & Leadership Internship Application

Thank you for your interest in applying for an internship position with Student Life & Leadership for the 2017 - 2018 academic year!

Through this online application process, you can apply for internships within the following areas:
  • Alternative Break
  • Campus Organizations & Volunteer Programs
  • Cross-Cultural Center
  • International Center
  • Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Resource Center
  • New Student and Leadership Programs
  • Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct
  • Veteran Services Center
Applications are due no later than 11:59pm, Friday, April 21, 2017. You must complete the entire application by the deadline in order to be considered for an internship position.


The application includes:
  • Applicant Information (e.g. contact and academic standing information)
  • Selection of one or two positions that you are interested in applying for in rank order (you do not have to apply for two positions).
  • A number of short essay questions for each internship you are applying for, not to exceed 250 words per question.
  • Information about signing up for an interview (for some internships, you will be able to sign up for an interview at the end of the application).
You will be able to edit your application up until the due date. Be sure to save your progress before closing your browser if you plan to come back to the application at a later time.


Intern Requirements
The following are general requirements of all Student Life & Leadership Interns. Additional internship specific requirements will also apply.
  • SLL Meet and Greet, Friday, May 26, 3:00-5:00pm
  • September All SLL Intern Training (Date TBD)
  • Commit the minimum hours per week (requirement varies by internship).
  • Attend a mandatory weekly staff meeting.
  • Assist with walk-ins, answer phones, and provide front desk coverage.
  • Attend mandatory staff retreats, fall/winter/spring (dates TBD).
  • Attend the Randy B. Lewis All-University Leadership conference during the fall quarter (September 30-October 1, 2017).
  • Become familiar with all Center events, programs & services.
