Assistant Director, Programs
As the Assistant Director of Programs, Angie oversees all the programs, activities, events and student involvement opportunities at the International Center. She leads the programs team in organizing various events and activities and events that engage both international and domestic students. She directly oversees programs such as I-STEPS (International Students Transitioning to Educational and Personal Success), English Conversation Program, Explore Southern California Trips, Across the Bridge: A Global Dialogue, and much more. Additionally, Angie helps coordinate the International Student Orientation with New Student and Leadership Programs. Angie is an advocate for students and strives to provide opportunities for them to build leadership skills in the growing, global community at UCI.
Angie previously worked as a Student Development Specialist in Student Life & Leadership, where she assisted with special projects for the Office of Student Conduct, the Administrative Intern Program and the Veteran’s Services Office. Angie received her Bachelors degree in Communications with a minor in English from California State University, Fullerton, and her Masters degree in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from the University of Southern California. She has held previous positions within student affairs in various areas such as Campus Activities, Leadership Programs, Student Organizations, Multicultural Affairs, Asian American Student Services, and LGBT Resource Center.
