What involvement on campus has shaped you as a leader?
As a part of Dean's Ambassador Council helped me build bridges between faculty, staff, and students. The Summer Academic Enrichment Program helped to strengthen my analytical and research skills and prepared me for a career as a policy professional and other leadership roles in public service. The First Generation First Quarter Initiative allowed me to mentor first generation students on the skills they need to succeed at UCI.

What personal quality do you think has helped you succeed at UC!?
My authenticity and insightfulness have allowed me to find my colleagues capabilities as well as help my peers find theirs.

Who is someone that has inspired you?
My mom is someone who inspires me, because she's a hard worker and doesn't take no for an answer.

What is one way in which you practice self care?
I enjoy listening to Spanish music and indulging in facials! I think it's important to practice self care because it is a form of resistance-its self preservation.

What does this recognition mean to you?
It means that students are valued as members and not numbers.
